Colts Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first and came to total score of 235 runs with 8 wickets down after 50 overs.Sangeeth Cooray scored 47 runs off 61 balls and Dhananjaya Lakshan 45 runs off 34 balls.Sheron Fonseka who came at number 6 made a half century by scoring 53 runs off 72 balls without losing his wicket.
Madhawa Warnapura took 4 wickets for 45 runs in 10 overs and Chanaka Komasaru took 1 wicket in his 10 overs giving only 27 runs.Bloomfield started their innings tight but after the 1st two wickets Bloomfield was unable to continue batting tight against the Colt’s bowlers and ended up losing all the wickets for 113 runs in 31 overs.Muditha Lakshan took 5 wickets for 23 runs and Colts won the match easily by 122 runs and ready to face off against Saracens Sports Club on 19th of July 2022 at Colts Cricket Club,Colombo.
