June 11, 2023 – The Colombo Colts Cricket Club is thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Invited Clubs 6-A-Side Cricket Tournament, held on June 10 and June 11 at the Club grounds. The tournament, organized as part of the Club’s grand 150th Anniversary Celebration, witnessed two days of intense cricketing action and showcased the immense talent of participating clubs.
Sixteen leading clubs from across the region participated in the tournament, competing in a thrilling 6-a-side format. The matches were played with immense enthusiasm and showcased the remarkable skills of the players. The tournament brought together teams from various renowned clubs, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie.
In the grand finale of the men’s category, Tamil Union emerged as the champions, defeating BRC in a thrilling bowl out. The women’s category witnessed an equally exciting battle, with Army A emerging as the champions after a captivating match against Army B.
The Colombo Colts Cricket Club extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the participating clubs, players, officials, volunteers, and spectators who made this tournament a resounding success.
